    National and Alamo Rent-A-Car at Los Angeles Airport (LAX) has an opening for a Transportation (Bussing) Supervisor


    The Supervisor  ensures the efficiency of daily transit operations through the effective performance of supervisory, operational and administrative duties.  This role oversees a team of 100+ bus drivers.


    In this position, the Supervisor must be able to provide firm, fair, and consistent leadership to all Bus Drivers and establish clear communications with all team members and the management team to ensure a consistent and superior level of customer service. All responsibilities must be performed with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our customer service standards  This position has primary responsibility for the supervision of daily bus operations.

    *This position is based at our National and Alamo location servicing LAX Airport at 90301**


    ** This is a salaried full time position, apart from religious observances, must be available to work within a flexible schedule which includes holidays, nights, graveyard and weekends)**


    **Starting pay is $65,000-70,000 (depending on experience)**



    • Plans and assigns routes, schedules, runs and buses
    • Audits and adjusts schedules, routes, detours and bus stop notifications for our drivers
    • Monitors and records Bus Drivers check-in/out, attendance and other schedule variances
    • Supervises, monitors and evaluates the performance and conduct of Bus Drivers
    • Conducts employee performance reviews
    • Perform daily ridealongs to ensure driver behaviors are compliant with established rules, regulations, policies and procedures T
    • Trains and instructs personnel in safe driving practices, passenger relations, bus safety and transit rules, regulations and policies
    • Coordinates with the Maintenance Division to assure proper fleet readiness and reports bus equipment issues and/or hazards
    • Prepares and maintains reports and records, including accident and injury reports, memorandums, emergency notifications, summaries and other forms and documents
    • Enforces safety regulations
    • Provides field supervision and conducts regular field inspections
    • Answers public questions and concerns pertaining to bus service delivery
    • Assists customers with questions and luggage as needed
    • Ensure we are brand integrity compliant at all times
    • Ensure we are DOT complaint at all times
    • Monitor Daily Vehicle Inventory Records
    • Receive real time communication from drivers, and provide a plan of action to ensure highest quality of service to the customer.
    • Creates shift recaps, daily supervisor handoffs, and updates logs.
    • Teamwork within the department and collaboration with drivers, local leaders and peers
    • Support a diverse workforce of up to 100+ Bus Drivers and other employees
    • Interpret transportation operations anomalies and identify appropriate solutions
    • Work effectively in a fast paced business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer service

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
    • Must have an Associates’s degree from an accredited college or university
    • Must have 2 years of work experience managing a driver team in transportation or logistics
    • Dispatch experience preferred (but not required)
    • California Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with both Passenger and Airbrake Endorsements preferred (not required)
    • Must be able to push, pull and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to operate the shuttle bus and assist customers with luggage
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
    • This is a salaried full time position, apart from religious observances, must be available to work within a flexible schedule which includes holidays, nights, graveyard and weekends
    • This position requires a valid driver’s license
